The BMW Museum is an architectural landmark – both for BMW and for city of Munich, as a centre of culture. Since May 1973, the BMW Museum has been presenting the company, brand, and product history of the BMW Group to visitors from all over the world in a fascinating and informative way.

Since its reopening following a major renovation between 2004 and 2008, the museum has broken visitor records year after year and is proud to be one of the most-visited museums in Germany: it has since registered a total of more than five million visitors.

The exhibition covers 4,000 m² and features some 125 of the most valuable and attractive cars, motorcycles, and engines from over 100 years of BMW Group history.

It is housed in the low-rise building that was connected to the museum's circular building – also known as the "museum bowl" – during the 2004-2008 renovation. The permanent exhibition comprises the seven show houses, the "Visions" area, the BMW Art Cars and the BMW Roadsters.
