BMW Clubs – Our Worldwide Network.

The BMW Clubs are a worldwide network of automobile enthusiasts and BMW fans. More than 230,000 members in around 700 recognised Clubs are impressive proof of the unbroken fascination for the brands of the BMW Group. BMW Club & Community Management (BCCM) is the central contact point for all official BMW, BMW Motorrad, and MINI Clubs. It provides support in organising meetings and events as well as answering questions about club life. The world of BMW fans offers the opportunity to make new contacts and share passionate interests in a unique community.

Umbrella Organisations of the BMW Clubs.

Each of the BMW Clubs and BMW Motorrad Clubs is independent. They are organised worldwide in regions such as Europe, America, Africa, Australia, and Asia-Pacific and are divided into international and national umbrella organisations. The BMW Classic and Type Clubs have their own international umbrella organisation and specialise in specific model series and development periods. They are dedicated to the care and restoration of classic BMW vehicles.

This global organisation provides a platform for enthusiasts to share their knowledge. An elected council committee, the BMW Clubs International Council, represents the interests of the clubs.

BMW Club & Community Management.

BMW Clubs are an impressive testimony to the unbroken fascination for the BMW Group and its brands. They are the world's largest club organisation in the premium car and motorcycle segment. The age of the vehicles is irrelevant – the range extends from lovingly restored classics to individually configured new cars.

BMW Club & Community Management (BCCM) is part of BMW Group Classic. It is the worldwide interface for all official BMW Clubs and BMW Motorrad Clubs. Whether you want to recognise new BMW Clubs or have questions about Club or Association matters, the BCCM is your partner.

We can help you plan and organise club events, conferences, or visits to BMW locations. We can also advise on the redesign of BMW Club logos and promotional materials. Our office is located in the historic former BMW plant halls, just a few steps away from the BMW four-cylinder building in Munich.

The BMW Club Community follows a number of guidelines, the main purpose of which is to ensure a uniform public image for all clubs. The guidelines also provide helpful answers to questions about setting up a club or running a club.

Among other things, you will find useful ideas and suggestions on how to found and run a BMW Club, as well as information on the structure of the international club organisation and the corresponding rights and obligations of the clubs.

The guidelines of the BMW Club Community as well as detailed information on the prizes and awards Friend of the Marque, Prof. Dr Gerhard Knöchlein – BMW Classic Award and Club of the Year can be found here and in the download area.

FRIEND OF THE MARQUE.

BMW has many fans and friends, but some are exceptional. Their personal commitment goes far beyond the norm. We therefore honour their commitment as passionate ambassadors of the BMW brand with the title Friend of the Marque. The only requirement is membership of a recognised BMW Club.

Would you like to nominate an exceptional person for the title of Friend of the Marque? No problem: Simply request the nomination form from classic@bmwgroup.com, complete it and return it to us. Nominations received by 31st January will be considered for the current year.

PROF. DR. GERHARD KNÖCHLEIN – BMW CLASSIC AWARD.

The award was established in memory of the founding president of Mobile Classic e. V. (formerly BMW Veteranen-Club Deutschland e. V.), Prof. Dr. Gerhard Knöchlein.

With this award, we honour individual club members who have made outstanding contributions to the preservation and communication of the history of the BMW brand. The award winners are owners who keep their historic BMWs in perfect condition and make them available to the public.

To nominate a BMW Club for the Prof. Dr Gerhard Knöchlein – BMW Classic Award, simply request the nomination form from classic@bmwgroup.com, complete it and return it to us. Nominations received by 31st January will be considered for the current year.

CLUB OF THE YEAR.

The Club of the Year Award recognises clubs for their outstanding and exceptional achievements. The award recognises the active development of the club's size, social responsibility and increased involvement. Examples include the organisation of independent club events that underline the importance of the BMW Clubs International Council or particularly promote cooperation between BMW Clubs and the BMW Group.

Only recognised BMW clubs can be nominated by their respective umbrella organisation. The Club of the Year award was presented for the first time in 2012. To nominate a club for Club of the Year, simply request the nomination form from classic@bmwgroup.com and complete and return it to us. Nominations received by 31st January will be considered for the current year.

International Council.

The BMW Clubs International Council (BCIC) was officially founded in July 1981 by Helmut Werner Bösch, then Chairman of BMW Clubs Europe e. V., and Dr Horst Avenarius (BMW AG).
