The Goodwood Festival of Speed – without doubt the most exciting and thrilling racing event featuring vintage and classic cars anywhere in the world – is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The Festival of Speed is all about extraordinary vehicles from the dawn of the motor car right up to the present day and beyond. To mark this special occasion the founder of the event, the Duke of Richmond (formerly Lord March), has chosen 25 of his highlights from the past quarter of a century and invited the personalities and vehicles responsible for these landmark moments in the Festival’s history back to Goodwood.

BMW Group Classic is presenting the legendary BMW M1 and V12 LMR, which will be driven by HRH Prince Leopold of Bavaria and Pierluigi Martini. The BMW 3.0 CSL Replica with Dieter Quester at the wheel offers a blast from the past in glorious 1970s style, while the BMW M8 GTE driven by Alexander Sims represents the cutting edge of present-day automotive technology.

As for the motorcycle contingent, the sensational duo of Maria Costello and Mark Wilkes will be flying around the circuit in the BMW LCR sidecar from the 2016 World Championship. And Troy Corser will be doing likewise on a BMW S 1000 RR Senior TT 2014.

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines!
