Goodwood Revival 2017.

TIME MACHINE. THE GOODWOOD REVIVAL.

The starting flag is lowered and a pack of historical racing and touring cars hurtles away with smoking tyres. The tenth of a second later and metre battle commences. And this all with cars and motorbikes, which should actually be on display in a museum because they were racers of a fascinating, bygone era from 1948 to 1966. Valuable, unique items are among them, rare performances and those which wrote history with their historical racing stories. Only here at Goodwood, south of London at the Earl of March’s, does this appear to no longer play a role. Tight slipstream battles, wheel to wheel whilst drifting through wide corners and spectacular duels shortly before the end - that is the Goodwood Revival. Very British and above all very fascinating.

THE REVIVAL FESTIVAL.

From 8 to 10 September 2017, the BMW Group Classic celebrates the RevivalFEST in proper style in full traditional costume with Bavarian music and fitting delicacies with a proper beer garden atmosphere. Additionally, there will be the typically British department store Gordon Galleries for our brands: BMW, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, MINI and BMW Motorcycle. From the classic MINI through the sporty BMW motorcycles to the absolute dream-car: a BMW 328 or a Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith, here you can admire the whole range of a fascinating era.

FRENCH CONNECTION.

At the Earls Court Motor Show, BMW UK have revived the summery French Riviera and it is capitalising on its elegance and Savoir-vivre. The BMW Z1 Roadster is celebrating its 30th birthday this year and is therefore allowed to stand alongside its legendary forefather BMW 507 on-site. Both of them are surrounded by their modern convertible interpretations BMW M4 and BMW 6 series, perfectly suited for the Corniche or the Promenade des Anglais.

GOING FAST.

The opposite of quiet is the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy because it wakes up the old racing machines, which have not forgotten anything. They start in various classes, their fighting spirit and the excitement everywhere is huge. The BMW Group Classic begins with the BMW R 50 Kaczor and the BMW RS 54 with famous drivers such as Troy Corser and Wolfgang Meier attending.

GOODWOOD PLAYGROUND.

On his Goodwood country estate, Lord March offers the perfect playground for all car and motorbike fans of a long-ago era of the 1950s and 1960s. An hour south of London, amidst the lush green and rolling landscape, you will find the concealed racing circuit, which is demanding throughout. A total of 150,000 visitors are expected. For those who would like to experience the series touring cars, sports cars and race bikes up close and personal, perfectly rounded off with exhibitions, shows and live music should indulge in Goodwood from 8 to 10 September 2017.

We look forward to seeing you.
