Since January 2003, the BMW Classic and Type Clubs International have provided an organisational framework for all official BMW Clubs that deal with classic BMW vehicles.

The spectrum ranges from the pre-war period and the BMW vehicles of that time to the present day with modern models that are already considered classics from today's perspective. The International BMW Classic and Type Club Section currently comprises 30 clubs with over 12,000 members throughout Europe, Africa, North and South America, and the Far East.
